Happy 2026
Dear Patient:
Wow, it is hard to believe half of January is already passed as I write this letter, which,-by the way- I have drafted in my mind so many weeks ago!
Firstly, a heartfelt Thank You each one of you for your referrals of family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. I am humbled and appreciate your trust and confidence in my ability. I am always open to your referrals.
It is a joy for me to work with each one of you. I am especially gratified to be working with adults who were patients first as children. This cycle of of life is so precious to be a part of. I now understand what the doctor who delivered me felt and I stayed his patient through out medical school and until I relocated full time to the USA.
I hope all of you are having a positive start to the new year. I personally have missed the snow. They say “ you can take the girl out of the mountains but not the mountains out of the girl. “ It is so true. I may have to go to my home turf just to feel the snow on my face! My family tells me how awesome the skiing is in the Canadian Rockies this winter. I tell them we are having 60 degree plus days! I am reminded by long term residents in Central Oregon, snow will come! Fingers crossed!
Great news on the medical front!
Sometimes you live long enough to really see significant change in your profession. As many of you know I have been specializing in family practice, metabolic balance, prevention, and hormone optimization (fertility) and hormone replacement in men and women my entire career.
I felt such vindication when the announcement came the black box label of Estradiol was going to be removed from estradiol products.
I feel my mentors and teachers who no longer are with us in person celebrated in the after life with those of us still practicing in this field of medicine.
My heart feels lighter and my joy of practicing medicine in this specialty continues.
My practice in biologics (stem cells, exosomes, etc) continues and last year I had the privlege of co-treating a patient of mine with one of my mentors in Sedona.
Furthermore, patients and I continue to experience the wonderful healing and immune support properties of IV ozone. Please call the office if you are interested in this experiencing this treatment.
On the continuing education front, yes, AI has come to Medicine. The benefits and fall out are unclear at this time. If and when you do research online please remember, you are an individual and not a statistic.
I am always willing and able to consult with any of you if you questions regarding your individual treatment plan, and answer any questions and concerns you may have. I appreciate each and every one of you.
Also, the fraud in the online supplement business is thriving. Patients have noticed an inconsistency with some products purchased online. Please remember, anything purchased in my office is protected for you by my license and malpractice insurance.
I am also very excited to announce I have brought micro-dosing of GLP1 to my practice. If you are interested in this modality please let me know. My current patients using this modality are very pleased with their results.
We continue to do the best we can to work with referrals to specialists as the pool lessens and the waitlists grow. Please continue to be patient but also advocate for yourself. Call the specialists office to follow up on getting appointments scheduled. Unfortunately, the steps to see the specialists have increased and an initial consult with a PA or NP in the specialists office has become a requirement.
We try to get all labs, scans etc done in advance to facilitate this process as quickly as possible for you.
For many of you the loss of having Thermascan’s offered in my office has become a hardship. As I have travelled to Medford personally for my last 2 scans, I understand. I am researching bringing this modality back to my office. Please stay tuned.
This year some of you again have had many things to celebrate. I celebrate with you! Also, some of you have had profound loss. As we process our grief and loss, may our hearts heal as our memories comfort us and bring us peace.
As we continue our life’s journey this 2026 calendar year, May it be a year filled with Joy , Health and Peace and Abundance for each of us.
Warmest regards,
Dr. Brust
